GadgetTrak Laptop Security - HD Version from Ken Westin on Vimeo.
Ken Westin, founder of GadgetTrak, was able to produce this video for a grand total of $250! The stock video footage purchased through iStockphoto.com cost $100 and the voice over purchased at Voices.com cost $150.
According to Scott Olson, a bid for a video of this length would run you around $6,000 (citing the bid Ken was given originally) and could potentially cost much more.
This goes to show that even if you are a talented small business owner with limited resources, you can still project a professional image and represent your brand well.
The power of technology, the human network, and creativity... astounding!

Military Family Public Service Announcement

I received a personal invitation from a client via Voices.com to submit an audition for a public service announcement called "Month of the Military Family." They also had it open for general submissions.
A short while later, I received this message from them:
"Out of 120 replies, your audition was the most fitting for this project. I would love to work with you on this, if you're up for it."
Up for it?! Of course! I love doing this type of work! Being able to voice just about anything is great... but I really enjoy it when I get to lend my voice to something that has a purpose, product or perspective that I truly believe in.
Such was the case here.
My brother returned from a year in Iraq this past July and I understand the importance of families and friends standing behind our loved ones in the armed forces. I'm very proud to be a part of this campaign and I'm thankful for the opportunity which was extended to me through Voices.com.
