Excellent advise. I agree with this all shared by Ms. Flanagan. If I may augment this sound information,
(1) I would suggest that you get help punching up the comedy. 80% of all character/animation application is comedy driven. Most Animation/Character Demos are "on the way" to funny.
(2) Also, most demos have too much music. If you were to pull 10 snippets from the 10 top Animated TV Shows at random, you will find perhaps one or two sound effects, and one music cue.
(3) Finally, construct your demo so you trot out your best two snippets in the first 10 seconds. That's all many buyers listen to. Disney, WB, and the major animation houses want to hear that you are a "Player," prior to auditioning you for parts. Again, Kudos for fast, accurate advise from Ms. Flanagan. PF
